County road and bridge staff updated commissioners on construction, grant awards and a five-year plan and the board formally approved the 2026 Pan County transportation plan.
Road superintendent reported ongoing construction activity funded through FEMA and federal primary-engineering (PE) grants. The Kellogg and Spec bridges were described as completed, gravelled and reopened; other projects such as Krieger and Max Harrell are in engineering or scheduled for future years depending on grant selection. Staff presented a five-year project list and said application cycles continue; they cautioned that grant selection is competitive and that the county may not receive all requested awards.
Commissioners moved and seconded to approve the 2026 Pan County transportation plan; the motion passed by recorded 'Aye' votes. Staff will sign documents necessary to advance projects for which grants have been or might be awarded, and will return with maps and more detailed fiscal schedules for public review.
