Board approves HR contract renewal, student-settlement payments and stadium field naming

Director Gray (curriculum committee) asked the board to approve three items under curriculum action: a settlement and release for DASD student #6045474619 for $108,248.50 (figure clarified during the presentation), a settlement for DASD student #1969966 for $69,250, and a 1-to-1 aid support services agreement with Vanguard for DASD student #1540634957 for $53,000. Each motion received a second and passed.
A board administration action requested that the field at DeSerafino Stadium be named after former coach and teacher Paul Hurley Jr.; the request, presented as coming from alumni, received a second and the motion passed.
