The Uxbridge School Committee voted June 10 to approve a one-year extension to the district’s ACP cleaning contract, a renewal the administration said includes a 5% cost increase and would set the FY26 annual contract amount at $558,354.
Administration reported that a district staff review found the price competitive in the market and recommended extending the contract so the vendor could begin work on July 1. Committee members moved and seconded a motion to extend the contract by one year and the motion passed without recorded opposition.
Superintendent Karen Dwyer and staff emphasized the importance of voting on the extension at the meeting so cleaning services would be in place for summer operations. The administration said it will proceed with the operational plans associated with the contract extension.
