The committee also discussed confirming an expected salary range to share with finalists so the district and candidates do not expend time on mismatched expectations. The consultant suggested the screening committee start with the district’s current superintendent pay as a reference point when setting the range.
Recognizing limited staff capacity for a formal survey, the committee agreed to gather community feedback informally after finalists’ district visits and the public forum — for example, through brief exit slips or emailed comments summarized for the board.
At the close of the meeting, the chair made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded and approved in a roll-call vote with Ben, Jess, Matt and Chris recorded as voting yes.
