Staff added a late blacktop invoice for Grover’s run totaling $129,984.72 to the road fund vendor claims; magistrates approved adding and paying the invoice so the county could seek reimbursement from the state transportation cabinet without delay.
During renovation of a room in the dispatch building crews found extensive mortar and baseboard deterioration and other structural issues. John Scott explained the additional work required, and the court approved a change order totaling $4,650 to pay for structural repair work and related materials; the motion was made by John Scott and seconded by Craig Miller and carried by recorded voice responses in the meeting.
Separately, bids for mowing, landscaping and snow removal at the judicial center were discussed; staff will clarify per‑service vs. seasonal pricing (salt inclusion, scheduled mows vs. per‑service) and return vendor clarifications at the next meeting before any award is finalized.
