Board celebrates student winners across Math/Science Olympiads and spotlights Unified Basketball inclusion league

The board recognized dozens of students from elementary through high school for Math and Science Olympiad placings, Invention Convention and FFA competitions, and highlighted a district Unified Basketball League promoting inclusion; teachers and coaches were thanked and a May 15 showcase was announced.
Lodi Unified used the meeting to highlight student accomplishments across the district. Principals and coaches from multiple elementary, middle and high schools read names and described placements—state and regional Math and Science Olympiad winners, Invention Convention merit awards, regional and state FFA placings and other achievements. District leaders thanked teachers, coaches and parent volunteers and invited the public to attend showcases and competitions.
The district also spotlighted the LUSD Unified Basketball League—a program that pairs students with and without disabilities on teams at Bear Creek, Lodi High and Tokay High—with a May 15 showcase recommended for community attendance. District staff framed the league as a model of inclusion and student leadership, and recognized adapted PE specialists, paraeducators and volunteers for their roles.
Board members used the recognition segment to thank principals and staff, and the meeting included a proclamation naming May 2025 Teacher Appreciation Week in the district.
