Uxbridge board authorizes bond re-evaluation request, approves bond release motion and continues hearing to Aug. 7

The Town of Uxbridge Planning Board moved on two actions tied to the Lejmere subdivision on Wednesday, approving a request from the applicant’s counsel to authorize a peer-review re-evaluation of a bond for work on Tea Party Drive and to release a second bond connected to Lejmere Phase 5.
Angela Conforti, identified in the meeting as general counsel for the applicant, Faford Real Estate and Development Corp., told the board “the request for tonight is, to authorize Graves to do a reevaluation of the bond on Tea Party Drive as it's currently 6 almost $700,000 and it's substantially complete,” and asked that the board also release a separate bond for Lejmere Phase 5 because that subdivision approval had lapsed and Faford no longer owns the property.
Board members and staff discussed the history of Phase 5, saying roadways shown on older plans were never constructed and the area now contains AR lots. Counsel said Lejmere Phase 5’s approval had lapsed; a bond reference was read aloud during the discussion (bond number stated as 5011) and another numeric reference (1132567) was mentioned during motions. The meeting record does not include a formal engineering report on file for the board to review.
Because the project’s engineer and some requested documentation were not available for the board, staff and an attendee said they had seen portions of plans but the planning board emphasized it must have complete responses to Graves’ outstanding questions before final action. Planning staff and an attendee reported that the engineer had indicated the outstanding items were addressed, but the board said documents must be provided to the office in advance.
The board voted by voice to approve the motions. Members then voted to continue the public hearing on the Tea Party Drive/Lejmere matter to Aug. 7 at 6:00 p.m. “If Zach does produce anything on the next meeting we’ll... continue to the next meeting,” an unidentified board member said during the discussion; the continuation was approved by voice vote.
Next steps: the board will await the engineer’s submission and Graves’ peer-review estimate; if required materials are not filed before the Aug. 7 meeting, the board said it may ask the applicant to withdraw the matter until it is complete.
