NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Public Charter School Commission’s School Performance and Accountability Committee voted Oct. 7 to approve the draft 2025–26 TISA accountability report and move it to the full commission for final consideration.
Executive Director Tess Stovall presented the annual report, which revisits accountability goals established in the 2023 school year and documents how TISA funds were used to support implementation. “We are making improvements on our goals,” Stovall said, adding that some targets were met and others showed progress but were not yet complete.
Commissioner Chris (Christine in the roll call) Richards moved approval of the draft TISA report; Commissioner Tom Griscom seconded. A roll‑call vote recorded three ayes (Commissioner Griscom, Commissioner Richards, Chair Patterson) and the committee approved the report, which staff will file with the Department of Education by Nov. 1 to meet the General Assembly requirement.
The committee’s action was procedural: the committee approved the draft for commission consideration and did not alter funding allocations. Stovall said the report and its reflections were shared with operators via the commission newsletter for input ahead of the full commission agenda.
