El Campo ISD board approves amendment to superintendent’s contract after closed session

A trustee moved to approve the amendment as discussed in closed session and asked that the board authorize the board president and the superintendent to work with legal counsel to finalize and execute the amendment. The motion was seconded by trustee Ryan and carried by unanimous vote.
The board did not disclose substantive contract terms during open session; trustees authorized finalization and execution through counsel.
