Kennesaw council accepts September crime statistics and approves consent agenda

The Kennesaw City Council on Nov. 3 unanimously accepted the city’s September 2025 crime statistics after a presentation by the Public Safety Chief and approved the meeting’s consent agenda, which contained eight items.
The Public Safety Chief reviewed month-to-month figures and highlighted several increases compared with the same period last year: narcotics incidents up 8; simple assaults up 5; dispatch calls for service at 823 (an increase of 69); self-initiated activity at 1,690 (up 578); traffic citations at 777 (an increase of 326); traffic warnings at 930 (increase of 277); arrests at 85 (up 26); auto accidents 104; accidents with injuries 8; hit-and-runs 16; and two pedestrians struck with injuries. The council recorded a motion to accept the statistics as presented and voted unanimously to do so.
Earlier in the meeting the council had moved and approved the consent agenda by unanimous vote. No members of the public spoke on the consent items. Council members and staff closed the meeting after other routine announcements and adjourned at 6:43 p.m.
