Staff and the board agreed the credit is for fiscal year 2026 only and that next year any similar program would have to be proposed and budgeted during the regular budget process. The board asked staff to make communications clear that the payment is a single, nonrecurring credit so residents do not develop unrealistic expectations.
The board voted by roll call to forward the recommendation to the City Commission.
