Commissioners noted that the Redevelopment Commission currently owns the property, which the body acquired prior to a 2015 complete-street project that affected parking adjacent to the building. Staff said the land bank office and a Department of Metropolitan Development inspector are located there and that adding building-authority management would centralize routine services and maintenance.
Unidentified Speaker 5 moved to approve Resolution 24 ERC 28; Unidentified Speaker 4 seconded. The roll call recorded 'Aye' votes from Commissioners Altman, Botte, Neeson, McAllister and Welfond; the resolution passed.
The agreement, as described in the meeting, reimburses the county building authority for expenses rather than providing a separate professional fee and will be added to the authority’s existing operations package for other municipal properties. The resolution passed; staff may now finalize the interlocal paperwork and begin the operations transition.
