The Huntington Park City Council voted to accept a fiscal year Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) standard agreement and $149,450 in grant funding for traffic enforcement and pedestrian and bicycle safety programs.
City staff asked the council to authorize the city manager to execute the OTS standard agreement for fiscal year 2025-26, approve the $149,450 budget appropriation, have the finance director designate revenue and expenditure accounts, and designate the chief of police to manage the grant's goals and objectives.
Councilmember 4 moved to approve; a second was recorded and the council carried the motion on roll call with Councilmember Macias, Councilmember Martinez, Councilmember Sanabia and Vice Mayor Martinez voting yes.
Staff said designations of accounts and program management will be completed by the finance department and police department once the agreement is executed.
