Commissioners questioned whether the commission’s standards allow thin (veneer) brick versus full-bed brick; one commissioner said the standards did not explicitly differentiate the materials. Commissioner RipPLE (identified in the record as the mover) made a motion to approve the brick for chimney use only; Commissioner Blanford seconded. Commissioner Butler recorded a Nay on the final voice vote.
The approval was limited to the chimneys; the applicant will return with any additional exterior details required by the commission or by building/fire-marshal review.
