The Uxbridge Select Board opened a public hearing on proposed water and sewer rates and then voted to continue the hearing to June 9, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
A board member noted that two recently seated members needed additional time to get up to speed on conversations, communications and implementation details related to the proposed rates and asked that the hearing be continued to the regular June meeting to allow staff and new members time to review.
"I would like to move that the hearing be continued to 06/09/2025 at 4PM," said an unidentified board member. The motion was seconded and adopted by roll-call vote, with the board recording a unanimous vote in favor of continuing the hearing.
The board opened the hearing to the public before taking the continuation vote; no final decision on rates was made at the meeting. The continuation preserves an opportunity for further review and comment at the June 9 meeting.
