Staff reported no new activity at 650 Quaker Highway; commissioners noted enforcement progress often depends on changes in property ownership and recommended continued monitoring. At 195 South Main, commissioners said two basins closest to a nearby project are not retaining or detaining stormwater as designed, and that altered surface routing and cumulative erosion likely contribute to the problem.
Discussion of the Powers Property at 619 Quaker Highway noted an outstanding enforcement order and that the property had recently been before the Zoning Board of Appeals; Google Maps signage indicates a business labeled "Jack's Water Works" and an asphalt contractor storing crushed asphalt on-site, which the building inspector had flagged. Commissioners agreed to keep that property under review.
Regarding alleged clearing behind the courthouse (listed as 2261 South Main), staff said a letter has been drafted to the responsible party and will be re-sent from the town; commissioners asked that the letter come from the town as an official communication. The commission expects to follow up in writing and review any responses at a future meeting.
