At its Sept. 15 meeting the Board of Public Works recorded the following formal outcomes:
• Approval of minutes from the Sept. 8, 2025 meeting. Motion by Council President Dickinson, second by Director Train; vote: unanimous.
• Construction contract change orders: Two change orders were presented and approved without discussion. The items were: Thirteenth Place South (South Avenue to Horton Street) with Fowler and Hammer, and Mormon Cooley Force Main with Gherke Excavating. Motion to approve by Director Train, second by Council President Dickinson; vote: unanimous.
• Street-privilege permit: Item 25-1085, RightSpeed (RightSpeed Wisconsin LLC) requested a street-privilege permit to install communications conduit in the 900 block of Main Street; Council President Dickinson moved approval, Director Train seconded; vote: unanimous. Staff noted attached application materials and proposed conduit-route schematics were in the meeting packet.
• Badger Corrugating partial right-of-way vacation (Item 25-1098): Approved preliminarily 3–1. The Board approved the initial request and directed staff to work with engineering to draft a legal description and map and to prepare a resolution for city council consideration; neighborhood notification per city code was noted as a required next step.
No final contract payments were presented at the meeting. The Board adjourned after completing the agenda.
