Board approves two on‑premises alcohol licenses for Sharpsburg restaurants with standard conditions

The Coweta County Board of Commissioners on June 3 unanimously approved two new on‑premises alcohol licenses for restaurants in Sharpsburg's District 4.
Business and alcohol license staff reported Milano’s Pizza (3500 E. Highway 34, Suite 7) met application completeness standards including background and fingerprint checks and recommended approval under Section 6‑54 of the County Alcohol Ordinance with conditions: the business must open within six months and obtain final approval from the Georgia Department of Revenue alcohol division.
Staff made a similar recommendation for Waldo's Chicken and Beer (3430 E. Highway 34). A certified land survey was provided verifying required distances under Section 6‑46 of the county ordinance; background checks and fingerprints for the applicant and additional owners were finalized. Staff recommended approval under Section 6‑54 with conditions that include final state and county approvals and opening within six months.
No members of the public signed up to speak in support or opposition to either application. The board closed both public hearings and voted to approve the licenses with the stated conditions.
