Commission approves budget levies, claims and routine agreements in Fallon County work session

Commissioners noted that more than half of the claims amount (about $600,000) was for gravel purchases. The commission also approved several routine items: a temporary construction easement signed by Mr. McKay, an annual home delivery meals agreement with Fallon Medical Complex, a tenant agreement for Parkview Retirement Complex, payment of membership fees and conference attendance for new superintendent Nathan Kolback, an emergency MOU with Spartan Bus Line for transportation support, and a three‑year Essential Toro National Support Network service plan for grounds equipment.
Each of those items was moved, seconded and approved during the session with no substantial public comment recorded. The commission recessed to accept public comment on the budget but reported no attendees and closed the public comment window before voting to adopt the levies.
Next steps include routine administrative follow‑ups: signature routing for approved agreements, notifying staff and contractors of approved contracts and scheduling any vendor or grant reporting as required.
