The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District board approved routine business items on both the board and superintendent consent agendas, confirmed multiple committee appointments and approved an additional $500 scholarship for the student representative position beginning in the 2025–26 school year.
Chair asked for removals from the consent agendas and, hearing none, the board approved the board consent agenda on a motion from Trustee Steve Olsen and approved the superintendent's consent agenda on a motion from Trustee McLem. The consent votes were voice approvals.
The board also approved committee appointments as presented, designating Dave Martineau as CESA representative and WASB alternate, Sherry Jasper as WASB delegate, Dennis Feuer, Sherry Jasper and Peggy McKillip to the policy committee and coherent governance committee, and appointing Steve Olson, Sharon McElwam and Dave Martineau to the Communication Committee; the motion carried. Trustees discussed removing a standing facilities committee from the governance structure for now and noted it can be reinstated if needed.
Separately, trustees approved adding an additional $500 scholarship to the student representative stipend beginning in 2025–26. "The recommended action is to approve an additional $500 scholarship for the student representative position starting in the 25–26 school year," a trustee said; the motion (mover Martineau, second Fear) passed by voice vote.
The board concluded with calendar items and adjourned the meeting.
