Kennesaw — Planning staff presented a final plat application for 3080 Moon Station Road that would subdivide city-owned property to facilitate construction of a new public-safety building.
Staff said Patterson and Dewar Engineers submitted the plat on the city's behalf and that the plan-review committee, including Cobb Water and Cobb Fire, had reviewed and deemed the plat in compliance. Planning and zoning recommended approval. One council member asked why the city would subdivide property it already owns; planning staff replied that Cobb Water required the split so separate meters could be set for Public Works and the new facility.
The plat was presented on the consent agenda; no roll-call vote was recorded in the work-session transcript.
The item will proceed through final administrative steps prior to construction planning and permitting.
