House Transportation advances HJ8, two bills and a Senate joint resolution to the House floor
Summary

House Bill 3-45: The committee read the title for House Bill 3-45—described by staff as "an act clarifying department roles in transit, amending section 62-1-29"—and passed the bill unanimously on a voice vote. House Bill 3-87: Committee members considered an amendment to House Bill 3-87 (amending documents required for reconstructed or new highways and amending sections 62-2-09 and 64-10-8) that revised a descriptive line and added a right-of-way plan reference. The amendment and the bill, as amended, passed on voice votes and HB 3-87 will proceed to the House floor.
Senate Joint Resolution 3: The committee read SJ 3, a joint resolution to the U.S. Congress concerning commercial driver's license logs, and voted to concur. The motion passed on a voice vote; Representative Smith recorded a no vote while other members registered aye votes (several by proxy). Representative Clacken will carry the resolution on the House floor.
