Glacier County receives workers’ comp dividend and pursues cyber policy; no votes on bear policy

At the Oct. 23 meeting, a county official reported that Glacier County is due to receive a workers’ compensation dividend check and that the anticipated amount will be processed under state hand-delivery rules for sums over $10,000. The official said the county is about $30,000 shy at present and will hand-deliver the check when it arrives.
The official also reported staff are working on a cyber policy and an application to fill a cyber-related position; the county is implementing multi-factor authentication and seeking quotes for cyber coverage. Commissioners discussed safety training (defensive driving, slips and trips) and ongoing facility walk-throughs.
