Representative Steve Fitzpatrick (House District 24) told the committee the bill eliminates an administrative burden on staff who must handle small cash receipts for single-copy requests. "From time to time, people walk downstairs and want single copies of bills," Fitzpatrick said, and HB 110 would let those copies be provided without the current sales requirement.
Fitzpatrick said the bill’s fiscal note estimates modest savings to the state of about $400. No proponents or opponents signed in to testify during the hearing.
The committee took executive action and approved HB 110 by voice vote; the transcript records an aye-by-proxy for Senator Zolokava/Zolnikov and no recorded nays. The chair announced that HB 110 "passes out of Legislative Administration."
