The Select Board on April 14 continued a public hearing on several street‑acceptance petitions, citing outstanding work on Campanelli Drive and related subdivisions.
DPW staff told the board Campanelli Drive showed multiple pavement patches, ponding and several areas that still require infrared rehabilitation and drainage repairs before the town will accept the roadway. A DPW comment letter and photos were circulated in advance of the hearing.
Bruce Taylor, principal for the Tabor Road developer, spoke at the meeting and said a recent manhole casting failure required a patch, which he had infrareded Friday after learning that the town required that treatment. "It's already done," he told the board.
Planning staff and a planning‑board representative (Jack Hunter) said Elm Street had met the town’s criteria and that planning had recommended conditional or full approval for some petitions, but that Crown Shield and portions of Campanelli still needed work. The board discussed options — conditional acceptance, waiting for contractors to complete infrared work, or asking petitioners to withdraw.
After discussion, the Select Board voted to continue the public hearing until April 28 to allow DPW and developers more time to address outstanding repair items and to gather final technical files (CAD and title documents).
Next steps: DPW will re‑inspect the roads, planning staff will seek final CAD files and easements, and the hearing will reconvene on April 28.
