Board approves Dell Construction bid for high‑school kitchen upgrade; project funded from food service fund

The Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District board voted to award the Chippewa Falls Senior High School kitchen remodel project to Dell Construction, as the low bidder, after administration presented the project and bid results.

Business manager Chad Trowbridge said the project will expand serving lines to reduce congestion during tight lunch periods. Bids opened the prior Tuesday and four bidders responded; Dell Construction was the low bidder. Administration recommended acceptance of the base bid and selected alternates included in the bid packet. Trowbridge told the board the estimated total for the recommended scope was about $601,700 and said the project will be paid from the district's food service fund (federally supported), not the general fund.
