Lawmakers hear unanimous‑leaning support to make rodeo Montana’s official state sport

Representative Overstreet said the bill had overwhelming support in the House and that the proposed July 1 effective date was meant to align with rodeo season but could be adjusted.
Proponents urged a do‑pass recommendation; the committee closed the hearing with no formal vote recorded.
