Commissioners were instructed not to read candidate names aloud; those who approved were asked to sign the packet with today's date and return it to staff.
A motion to approve the recruitments and the eligibility lists was made, seconded, and passed by a 5-0 roll-call vote. The commission also approved the July 1 special-meeting minutes earlier in the meeting by the same vote tally. The minutes and the ratification of eligibility lists were presented as routine administrative items; no public comment was recorded on either item.
City staff asked commissioners to sign the eligibility lists and indicated the lists will be used for future appointments for up to two years. The meeting packet included the commission handbook and the resolution referenced for commissioner compensation (Resolution No. 2006‑61).
