At the April 28 meeting the Uxbridge Select Board made multiple appointment votes and approved a local license-time change.
Appointments: The board appointed Adam Hicks and Diane Piccard as alternates to the 300th Anniversary Committee for the duration of the celebration. Ryan Corrigan was appointed to the Cable Advisory Committee with a term to expire June 30, 2028. After confirmation the historical commission chair supported the nominations, the board appointed David VanZant as an alternate and Bev Gudnowski as a full member of the Historical Commission (term details discussed and voted on). Manuel Ramos (introduced himself as a new resident and scientist) was appointed to the Cultural Council through June 30, 2027.
Licensing: Blissful Meadows Golf Club doing business as Meadowview Tavern asked to open at 10 a.m. on Sundays instead of the current 11 a.m. to align alcohol service with patrons who use on-site showers and breakfast service. The Select Board voted to approve the license-time change after staff said the applicant provided background and operational reasons for the earlier service.
Staff said letters and swearing-in instructions will be sent to newly appointed volunteers, and the town will activate email accounts only after sworn-in status is complete.
