House Health and Human Services moves multiple bills in executive action; HB 783 passes as amended

Following a recess the House Health and Human Services committee returned to consider a slate of bills in executive action.
The committee took voice votes on several items. House Bill 783, an insurance-coverage bill for certain diabetes, obesity and PCOS treatments and medications, passed as twice amended; clerks recorded Representative Bennett opposed and several members voted by proxy. Committee members discussed an amendment (783.1.0.6) that tailors medically necessary GLP-1 coverage and requires the Department of Administration to report utilization and cost impacts to interim committees by Sept. 1 annually.
The committee also moved to concur with several senate bills (including SB 191, SB 300, SB 503, SB 516 and SB 466) and tabled SB 272 on a substitute motion. Proxies and a small number of recorded dissenting votes were captured on the record for several items. The committee then adjourned.
