Vice Chair Howe said the $125,000 annual expense "ensures that people are getting access to workforce preparation and development" and called the bill "pretty straightforward but also deeply, deeply important." Representative Bridal recounted testimony from prior hearings — including a cancer survivor and a single mother who credited Medicaid with restoring quality of life — and said she would cast a yes vote.
