Representative Carter moved concurrence in the bill; the committee voted and, with proxies recorded by the clerk, the motion carried. The clerk reported a final tally of 13 ayes and 1 nay. Chair Perry announced that SB355 will move to the House floor.
The bill changes procurement rules for transmission-line construction and revises statutory definitions for incumbent utilities’ transmission rights. The measure now proceeds to the full House, where additional debate or amendments may occur.
