Pueblo County resident asks board to schedule repairs for flood-prone South Road intersection

At the meeting, Anna Pratt told the Pueblo County commissioners that nearly the entire intersection of South Road and 30 Third Lane was underwater after flooding on Aug. 27 and that a significant portion of her property at 32800 South Road remains inundated.
Pratt said County Road and Bridge has not repaired the intersection since 2023 and asked the commissioners to place discussion of drainage fixes on the next meeting agenda so the county can "discuss and confirm when the county plans to begin work on the drainage issues." She told commissioners she provided photos and video and noted that the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) issued a Sept. 3 letter confirming no water-quality issues.
Planning Director Carmen Howard and staff were not recorded as making a commitment on a repair schedule during the meeting; Pratt requested the issue be added to the next agenda so the board could set a course of action.
The board heard Pratt's request during the public-comment portion and thanked her for bringing the packet of materials to the record. No formal action on scheduling repair work was taken at the meeting.
