"This is another board policy that is dictated by state statute," O'Neil said, adding the policy was reviewed by the Colorado Department of Education to ensure compliance.
After a short presentation the board moved and seconded the policy for approval. Votes recorded by the clerk were in favor from Missus Babs, Mister Berthold, Missus Gilligan, Missus Hranick and Mister Lechuga; President Ragland voiced "Aye." Missus Weiss was recorded absent. The presiding officer declared the policy adopted.
Board members did not request further amendment on the floor. The policy will be added to the district's board policy manual and implemented by the appropriate administrative offices.
