The county added an agenda item to approve state forms needed for the transfer of responsibility.
Preliminary county estimates for costs associated with fire response, including reimbursements to volunteer fire districts and incident management expenditures, were roughly $80,000–$100,000; staff cautioned those numbers were preliminary and subject to final accounting and potential indirect costs.
Commissioners and staff also noted inter‑county mutual aid and neighboring counties’ appreciation for Routt County’s assistance during the event.
