Commissioners agree to pursue public hearing on Big Sky Rail reengagement

Commissioners agreed to place the resolution on a future agenda and to run public-notice advertisements in local papers on the recommended schedule; a public hearing was proposed for Oct. 7 with subsequent readings of the resolution on Oct. 14 if the county chooses to proceed.
No formal resolution was adopted at the meeting; the board directed staff to place the item on the agenda, run the required notices and return with the resolution and a public-hearing timeline for a future decision.
