Commissioners discussed compatibility for remote users, rural reception, costs for a $30 fob and a $3.75 per-account fee, and asked IT staff to compile the final user list for rollout.
Cabin 6 contract offer: The board voted to offer a contract to Picture Perfect for the rehabilitation of Cabin Number 6, in the amount of $37,063, which was the low qualified quote presented to the county. The motion to offer the contract was moved, seconded and carried without public comment.
Gravel crushing: Commissioners approved a motion to crush an additional 20,000 cubic yards of gravel at the Wagon Wheel Pit west of Ekalaka at the same per-unit price previously quoted, assigning the work to the contractor cited in the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Brownfields cleanup: The board voted to proceed with GNDC/EMDC-administered Brownfields subgrant processing and associated procurement for abatement of the old hospital site (see separate story for full details). GNDC/EMDC will prepare subgrant paperwork and assist with QEP solicitation and invoice drawdowns.
