Mr. Billhorn presented the high school request and addressed a board member’s question about safety for international destinations, saying the district uses travel companies that coordinate with the U.S. State Department and that past trips have been canceled when destinations were unsafe. "So any of our international trips we work with, and there's a couple of different companies, we require our staff to work with a company that does work with state department," the presenter said. Rick moved to approve the Milton High School extended field trip request for 2025‑26; John seconded and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
For the middle school, staff reported 51 students had expressed interest and that, once board approval is secured, an official student meeting in January will finalize participation; registration will be handled on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Tracy moved to approve the Milton Middle School extended field trip request for 2025‑26; Rick seconded and the motion carried.
