At the July 15 Buildings & Grounds Committee meeting, facilities staff presented the monthly work order completion report covering June 5–July 8 and summarized recent district-wide building tours.
Mr. Lord told the committee the report shows 107 completed work orders in that span and that three work orders had completion dates beyond 45 days. He pointed to an air handler in Room G135 that had not been operating for 304 days as a notable outlier needing attention.
Mr. Lord also reported that district administration hosted building tours at all four elementary schools to identify interior and exterior issues and to classify needs by capital planning horizons (five- to 10-year capital planning, contracted services, GSD maintenance and long-range planning). He said Kennedy Middle School and Germantown High School tours were scheduled for July 22 and July 29.
Committee members praised the tours for clarifying site-specific constraints the reports do not show, including property lines, septic considerations, parking and traffic flow. Dr. Reuter emphasized the value of seeing sites in person to understand limitations not itemized in the written report.
No formal action was taken on the reports; the committee proceeded to new business.
