He said a teacher workday is scheduled for the 19th so staff can occupy buildings, and opening-day breakfast for staff is planned for Aug. 20 at 7:00 a.m., with superintendent remarks at 7:30 a.m. Mordre warned that a full day of fire-alarm testing could disrupt plans and said the district has contingency plans for staff and building occupancy if delays occur.
Mordre asked the community for patience during the first days of school as transportation routes, pick-up/drop-off routines and technology are finalized with new staff and spaces. He invited board members to the staff welcome-back events and noted staff will return to their respective buildings for professional development thereafter.
