Board honors HR Director Kristen Wade on 28 years of service, announces retirement celebration

The Muskegon County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 9 read a formal tribute honoring Human Resources Director Kristen Wade for 28 years of service to the county.
The tribute recounted that Wade began county service as a benefits analyst on March 10, 1997, rose to the county’s human-resources directorship in 2015, and earned certifications including Senior Professional in Human Resources and certified labor-relations credentials. The board highlighted Wade’s role in launching an online performance-evaluation system, an onboarding system, a wellness program, and a career-enhancement program called Pathways Purpose, and acknowledged her service on community boards and county committees.
Wade addressed the board, thanked staff and colleagues and the county announced a retirement celebration for Thursday, Sept. 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the student center.
