Boone County fiscal court told audit is clean and will be on July 8 agenda

County officials told the Boone County Fiscal Court Monday that the state auditor completed and returned the county’s current audit with no findings.
The presiding official said the audit was authorized, reviewed and approved by the state auditor, was returned on Friday and had been sent to each commissioner. "It is a clean audit. No finding," the presiding official said during the meeting.
Lisa, a county staff member, thanked the audit team for their work on her first audit: "I just really appreciate the team from the state, working with me on my first audit here and, appreciate that it's where it is right now." The presiding official said the audit acknowledgement will appear on the July 8 agenda and asked commissioners to review the report in advance.
Officials also said that, following the court’s formal acceptance, work on the next audit cycle is expected to begin this fall so future reports will be more current.
The court scheduled its next meeting for July 8 at 5:30 p.m.
