Boone County Fiscal Court approved awarding the design-and-install contract for a replacement amphitheater at Boone Woods Park to DWA Recreation for $231,480.
Parks staff said they issued an RFP, received four proposals, and selected an Apex 45 design from DWA based on committee scoring. The new structure includes dressing rooms and will be erected after the park’s summer concerts; staff recommended beginning installation in August so concerts in June and July are not disrupted.
Staff also reported the project remains under budget and that a separate restroom/concession building will be in place by May. The court moved and approved the award unanimously.
