The court reappointed David Darby to the Summit Ironville Fire Department and Carrie Culp to the library board and appointed Dustin Roll as director of Sanitation District 1; each personnel item was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
Public‑works staff presented lists of surplus property for sale or auction, including 525 chairs from the Boyd Convention and Arts Center (staff proposed a reserve of $50 per chair), road equipment (Lee Boy 300 roller, v‑box spreaders, 10‑foot Meyer plows), an old crane, and a Lee‑Boy paver. Commissioners discussed setting reserves and researching values for some items (the v‑box spreaders were deferred to the next meeting for reserve research; a paver reserve was discussed at approximately $95,000) and voted to declare the items surplus; staff said full sale listings and reserve prices will be posted after the meeting.
No votes to adopt tax rates were taken; the court announced a special meeting on Aug. 26 to set tax rates once required information is compiled.
