The council voted unanimously to cancel the July 14 council workshop because the city clerk will be unavailable and staff levels are low. Councilmember Simon made the motion to cancel and it was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The assistant city manager announced community events: a farmers market will begin in July at Lewis And Clark Park on Thursday evenings from about 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in partnership with the Gallatin Valley Farmers Market nonprofit; staff said the market is planned to run initially for roughly 12 Thursdays. Staff also noted an upcoming wood-bat baseball tournament and a summer music series on Broadway that will begin later this month.
