The Belgrade City Council adopted Resolution 2025‑16 to annex contiguous real property the city purchased at the corner of Frontage and Bollinger Road into city limits for municipal services.
Mr. Karp, acting as legal counsel during the item, said state law (MCA Title 7, Chapter 2, Part 43) provides multiple annexation procedures and staff used the method that best fit this site. He told the council that notice was sent to registered voters in the affected area and that no protests were filed because there are no registered voters living in the parcel. The council then moved and seconded adoption of the resolution; the motion carried unanimously.
Karp said the annexed land will be used for city utilities and related adaptations as seen in future plans. The resolution formalizes the city's ownership and enables municipal service provision.
