Staff recorded the lowest bid as $456,423; during Q&A staff also read a figure of $456,004.23 before clarifying the recommended award.
No public comment was offered. A commissioner moved to approve the contract recommendation to Hazleton/Hazelton Construction for the listed amount and the commission approved the motion by voice vote. Staff noted the low bid was slightly above the budget estimate and said the county would account for the variance within departmental funds.
