Pewaukee council OKs Glenwood reconstruction, Weathersfield special assessments and final engineer reports

The Pewaukee Common Council on Aug. 4 approved several transportation and infrastructure items, including a resolution to advance design for Glenwood Lane reconstruction, preliminary actions to levy special assessments for Weathersfield subdivision road rehabilitation, and acceptance of final engineer reports and resulting assessments for Meadowbrook Farm Phase 2 and Roundy's Industrial Park Phase 2.
City staff described Glenwood Lane as having a PASER rating of 3 out of 10 and said design dollars are budgeted for 2025; planned work includes pavement replacement, drainage improvements and utility rehabilitation. The council authorized the resolution to proceed with design and later assessments.
For Weathersfield and Windermere sections, staff recommended exercising special assessments with anticipated construction in 2026; council approved the preliminary resolution and a comfort resolution related to future borrowing. Meadowbrook Phase 2 and Roundy's Phase 2 were presented as final closeouts after contractor completion; the council accepted final engineer reports and moved to levy final assessments on properties that participated in the original assessment rolls.
Staff indicated these actions will allow the city to move projects into design and ultimately construction, subject to assessment procedures and potential future borrowing.
