Board member Leah moved to adopt the policy "as presented" and Kevin seconded. During discussion board members noted that the board intentionally omitted fixed hour totals from the policy to allow administrative policy to carry numeric calendar and hour details and to remain aligned with any changes in state law. Deb Genesta confirmed the board’s preference to reference the overarching executive‑session statute in policy language rather than repeatedly listing changing statutory subsections.
Deb Genesta called the roll and the vote was recorded with Cresta, Kevin, Laura, Leah and Katie Lee voting in favor. The board did not amend the policy at second reading and it will be implemented with an accompanying administrative policy that specifies hours and operational details.
