Chickasha City Council approves siren upgrade, Enclave Estates plat and a revised services agreement

The Chickasha City Council approved several actions affecting public safety, local development and city contracting during its November meeting.

Siren upgrade: The council approved a $44,980 sole-source purchase from Goddard Enterprise/American Signal Corporation to upgrade emergency warning sirens so they can broadcast prerecorded and live public-address messages at the sports complex and other sites. City staff said no new equipment has yet been installed and that the upgrade would also allow staff to use existing siren infrastructure to support repairs at other locations. Enclave Estates: The council accepted an irrevocable standby letter of credit from Horizon Bank to secure Enclave Estates of Chickasha (citing Chickasha Municipal Code, ch. 46 art. 4 §46-45) and then approved the final plat for Enclave Estates Phase 1.
